CRANSTON – The La Salle football team pulled off a last minute upset against the Bishop Hendricken Hawks to win the State Championship 22-21. The Most Valuable Player award went to Nate Lussier, who ran in the winning touchdown and two-point conversion. The win snaps Bishop Hendricken’s 7-year championship streak and captures La Salle’s fourth overall football championship.
