Starting a New Semester

As the first semester comes to a close, it is easy to grow despondent about grades and schoolwork. If you ever feel like you need a word of advice, Mr. Martinez can help. He has gotten a lot of practice with overwhelmed students over the years. He has students write down five problems they are dealing with, and estimate how long it will it take to fix each problem. Then, he has them write out a sentence that begins with the words “For me right now it is time to…” When asked about one piece of advice he has, he talked about balance. One has to remember all of their obligations, which includes eating and sleeping. So good luck in semester two, and remember that Mr. Martinez, among many others, is rooting for you.
