Tonight marks the beginning of the Providence Children’s Film Festival. The films shown are usually made by non-American Producers and are in another language with English subtitles. The goal of these movies is to offer different cultural perspectives to kids all across Rhode Island. Through the Providence Children’s Film Festival’s careful selection of films, they hope to start conversations about deep topics such as economic status in underdeveloped countries, or other kinds of depravity throughout the world. These movies can be inspiring and they are going to be shown throughout the next two weeks. If you have time you should definitely go see movies in your age range. You definitely won’t be able to see these kinds of movies at the movie theater.
