Indoor Track and Field

The Indoor Track and Field season is nearing its end as the state meet took place on Saturday February 15. Unfortunately, the boys team suffered a heartbreaking loss, finishing in second place behind Bishop Hendricken. However, the boys still posted some impressive times and scores on Saturday: Jack Wilbur finished 2nd in the boy’s 1000m, Tyler Chambers finished 2nd in the 1500m, Max Dimuccio finished 1st in the boy’s 3000m, Jack Mcloughlin finished 3rd in the boy’s 3000m, and Steven Doss finished 1st in the boy’s 300m. The boy’s team also finished 1st in the 4X800m relay.  The girl’s team, on the other hand, won the state meet on Saturday. This state championship marks their fourteenth consecutive indoor track championship win. The girl’s team posted some impressive performances which helped them get the victory including Kaylie Armitage finishing 1st in the 3000m and 2nd in both the 1000m and the 1500m. The girl’s team also won the 4X200m and the 4X800m relays.
