AFTER THE DANCE….
By: Anna Wong
Last Friday, the first of April, La Salle hosted the Freshman/Sophomore Semi Formal. The dance took place from 7 pm to 10:30 pm at the Ramada Hotel in Seekonk, Massachusetts. Overall, it was a fun time. Students socialized with their friends and danced their shoes off (literally). Sophomore Vanessa Olugbode comments, “It was nice. It was the first time we all gathered together. It was a nice opportunity to dress up and hang out with friends.” Pasta, pizza, nachos, and cookies were served buffet-style; there was an open soda bar where students often would be found mingling. The disc jockey played music throughout the whole evening, including Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” and Taylor Swift’s “Shake It Off.” Even teachers showed off their awesome dance moves!
Students also voted for the Kings and Queens of the Freshman/Sophomore Semi. In the Class of 2025, Joey Cavanagh and Sofia DiMascio were crowned. The Class of 2024 crowned Michael Mita and Lola Alarapon. Congratulations, guys!
